Half-hourly metering technology was originally developed to allow large energy users such as Industrial sites to make the most of the electricity price fluctuations throughout the day. This same technology is now being used to ensure ECM clients receive accurate energy bills, and are then able to use them to reduce energy costs.

ECM receives a register reading each month, directly from the meter. These readings are used to validate invoices, to produce consumption and budgeting reports, and facilitate forecasts for their clients electricity spend.

The Energy Management data also allows ECM to analyse consumption profiles and to advise on energy procurement savings.
